Booking a Keynote Speaker
How much does a keynote speaker cost?
Our speaking fees vary based on format (keynote, workshop, panel), duration, travel requirements, and customization needs. We work with a range of budgets, from association conferences to government training events. Contact us with your event details and we'll provide a transparent quote. Many organizations use professional development or training budgets for speaker fees.
How far in advance should I book a keynote speaker?
We recommend reaching out 3-6 months before your event for the best availability, especially for large conferences. However, we understand that planning timelines vary—we've accommodated requests with just a few weeks' notice when schedules allow. The sooner you reach out, the more flexibility we have to customize content for your audience.
Do you speak at virtual events?
Yes. We've delivered engaging virtual keynotes, webinars, and hybrid presentations throughout the pandemic and continue to do so. Virtual doesn't mean less engaging—we adapt our delivery for the format, including interactive elements, shorter segments, and audience participation tools. We can work with your preferred platform or recommend options.
Can you customize a presentation for our audience?
Absolutely—customization is standard, not an add-on. We start every engagement by learning about your audience, their challenges, and what outcomes matter most to you. We'll reference your sector, use relevant examples, and tailor the content to what your attendees will actually find useful. A keynote for state health officials looks different than one for a GIS conference.
How long is a typical keynote presentation?
Most keynotes run 45-60 minutes, but we're flexible. We can deliver a 20-minute opening session, a 90-minute deep-dive workshop, or a half-day training. We'll work with your agenda and can adjust format to include Q&A, breakout discussions, or hands-on exercises depending on your goals.
What topics can your speakers cover beyond AI?
While AI is our most requested topic, our team speaks on data modernization, public health workforce development, leadership and change management, work-life balance and burnout prevention, strategic planning, data governance, and community health innovation. We can also develop custom content for your specific needs—if it touches public health, technology, or organizational change, we can probably help.
Do you provide speaker materials for event promotion?
Yes. Once booked, we provide professional headshots, bios (short and long versions), session descriptions, and social media assets. We can also provide slides in advance for accessibility accommodations or conference proceedings. Just let us know what you need for your promotional materials.
What makes F&T Labs speakers different from other AI keynote speakers?
We're practitioners first. Our speakers have built AI tools for health departments, managed public health programs, and navigated the real challenges of implementing technology in government settings. We don't just talk about AI theoretically—we share what's actually working (and what isn't) from direct experience. Plus, we're honest about limitations and tradeoffs, not just hype.
